Richkets in Korean Infants

Abstract
|

|
During the period, February to May, 1955, the radiological examinations of the rachitic changes in the wrist joints of 215 infants were studied. Fifty one infants were examined as outpatients at the Seoul Electric Company Hospital and 164 infants were randomly selected from the contestants in the Seoul City Baby Contest; their ages ranged from 3 months to 12 months. The results revealed the presence of rachitic changes in 66 cases(30.7%).
There was no significant difference in incidence between the outpatients and the contestants.
